Suning have given Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio the go-ahead to go after Arturo Vidal on a permanent deal according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter were seemingly only going to go after the Chilean on a loan, perhaps with option to buy, basis but will now submit a €12 million offer for Vidal, who Barcelona value at €25 million.
Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde would like to keep a hold of the central midfielder whilst he and his agent, Fernando Felicevich, are pushing to get him a return to Italy.
The report goes on to state that negotiations between Inter and Atalanta over Dejan Kulusevski are only at the initial stages but there is currently only a €5 million difference between Inter’s €35 million offer and Atalanta’s €40 million demands.
To bridge the gap, Inter could well include a player into the deal whilst Parma also need to be convinced to cut the 19-year-old’s loan short with them.
It also states that Chelsea want €40 million for Inter’s number one defensive target Marcos Alonso. This has led to Inter considering a move for Paris Saint Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa.
