Speaking in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier on today, Inter goalkeeper Daniele Padelli has shared his delight having made his Serie A debut for the club.

Padelli was called into the starting line-up for just the third time since his arrival back in the Summer of 2017 and kept his first clean sheet for the club as Inter ran out 2-0 winners over Udinese with thanks to a brace from club record signing Romelu Lukaku.

“It was an important opportunity for me because I got back to playing in Serie A after a long time. I made my debut with my favourite team in Serie A, so it is another dream come true for me. We managed to win and I did not concede any goals so it was a top night,” the experienced Italian shot-stopper explained.

The 34-year-old was then asked about Handanovic’s condition and if he could provide any update.

“We will see during the week how things look and if he will improve from the blow he sustained.”

In conclusion, the former Torino goalkeeper was asked about this coming weekend’s Milan derby and the likely possibility of him having to play.

“If there is a need for me to play, then I will be ready.”

Padelli’s other two appearances in an Inter shirt both game in the Coppa Italia against Benevento and Pordenone respectively. Padelli is out of contract with the club come the end of this season.
