Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has reached an agreement with French side Paris Saint-Germain to insert an ‘anti-Juventus’ clause in the deal, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how, if the Parisian club decide to activate the €70 million buy option on the 27-year-old Argentine striker’s loan deal and then decide to sell him to another Italian club, they would have to pay Inter an extra €15 million.

The clause has clearly been inserted in order to reduce the chances that the Nerazzurri’s rivals, Juventus, would acquire the Argentine striker, who they have been keen on for a while.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici will now have to make a decision regarding Icardi, the report continues. If the Nerazzurri executive decides that the Turin based club do need to sign the 27-year-old, then they would have to accept an extra €15 million going to their rivals. The Nerazzurri are set to invest the money earned from selling Icardi back into the squad in the summer transfer window.
