Photo – Inter Defender Godin: “In This Situation, We’re All Playing & Fighting For The Same Team”

Inter defender Diego Godin has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to express his support in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

In Italy alone there are over 15,000 cases of the virus which makes it the second most affected country worldwide behind China, where the virus started out.

Coronavirus has wreaked havoc on the footballing calendar with there being complete uncertainty about how seasons could be finished, if at all.

The experienced Uruguayan posted: “We live in difficult times and without precedent. In this situation, we are all playing and fighting for the same team. We give support, in particular, to those who are directly suffering from the consequences of Covid-19. We must all be responsible in this situation, giving our contribution to return to normal as soon as possible.”
