Real Madrid have denied Italian reports that they have contacted representatives from Inter to discuss the possible player salary cut from March to June, according to a report from Italian news broadcaster Efe earlier today.
The report details how Los Blancos are working hard to stop the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible and have put the players and staff’s health first. The club deny that they have contacted Inter in order to discuss the plan from Italian clubs to ask for a reduction in players’ salary in order to maintain financial stability during the Coronavirus emergency.
The Madrid based club are confident that the season can start again in May, the report continues, and doesn’t believe there is a need to reach a new agreement with the staff. The way forward for the Spanish club will be following instructions from the government and health professionals, ensuring that all precautions are being followed.
