Inter wing-back Cristiano Biraghi has insisted that Inter must continue like this following their resounding 4-0 away win over SPAL at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.

Biraghi scored Inter’s second goal of the game and moments later he served the ball on a platter for Alexis Sanchez to nod home Inter’s third goal of the match, which Inter completely controlled and deservedly won.

“It was important because we knew that SPAL have had difficulties but it is never easy to face very physical teams. We knew that if we took the lead we could have won the match,” the Italian explained in an interview with sports broadcaster DAZN, following the full time whistle.

He went on to add: “We are now in second and now we must go on like this. In recent games we could not manage to get the results we wanted but this time we did it and we have to go on like this. The whole squad must be well, everyone is needed.”

Biraghi, who is a product of Inter’s youth academy, returned to Inter this past Summer on a season long loan from fellow Serie A side Fiorentina and the loan was recently extended until the end of the season, which had to be extended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

This season the 27-year-old has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, he has scored two goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
