Inter have already started negotiations with Manchester United over keeping Alexis Sanchez on a permanent basis according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean national team player is currently on loan at Inter from the Premier League club until the end of the first week of next month but having been Inter’s star performer since the 2019/20 season resumed the Nerazzurri are keen to keep a hold of him permanently.

Since the season resumed, Sanchez has made seven goal contributions (one goal and six assists) and he has looked much like the Alexis Sanchez of old again with some high quality performances.

Sanchez has become a major reference point in Inter manager Antonio Conte’s side and the report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that there is major regret that Sanchez had to miss several months due to an ankle injury.
