Inter are looking for a way to keep Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez for both the end of the season and beyond next season, according to a report from Italian newspaper Libero earlier today.

According to the report, Inter don’t want to pay compensation to extend the loan deal unless it is included in the amount needed to keep the player, a desire that makes the English club happy.

However, there is no agreement, with Man United requesting €20 million whilst Inter are offering €10 million, hoping to convince Sanchez to lower his wages to €7.5 million, the report continues.

The report details how the 31-year-old Chilean has spent this season on loan from Manchester United and has finally started to impress, after the restart of the season. The former Arsenal star missed the majority of this season due to injury but is now showing coach Antonio Conte his strong capabilities.

His current loan deal will last until 5th August, the report continues, the date of the Europa League quarter-final against Getafe, because the Red Devils don’t want to face the Chilean.
