Inter will have to do without Nicolo Barella in their upcoming Serie A match with Genoa due to him having to serve a one match suspension.
The highly rated Italian national team midfielder picked up a booking in last night’s goalless draw at home to Fiorentina and sports judge Gerardo Mastrandrea has today confirmed that the former Cagliari player will miss out on the match against Genoa due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Barella is in his first season with Inter and has been one of the team’s best performers over the course of the season. The 23-year-old has made 35 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In just over 2500 minutes on the field, Barella has scored three goals and provided six assists for his teammates.
Genoa will have to do without defender Lukas Lerager who will also be missing the match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris due to a suspension.
