Inter wing back Cristiano Biraghi discussed the Nerazzurri’s important 3-0 win over Genoa earlier tonight in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV immediately after the game.
“I’m fine and the team’s fine. Not an easy moment for everyone, even the big teams drop points. The important thing is that we are back second. We want to get as high up as we can.”
The 27-year-old Italian didn’t express a preference between crossing on the left or right side.
“I always try to do the best I can.”
The Fiorentina owned man touched on what Inter fans can expect from the remaining games of the season, both in the league and the Europa League.
“In the meantime, we have to end this season with six more points if possible, then we’ll think about the Europa League which is our goal. We believe it, we’re fine. It’s great that everyone is ready.”
Finally, Biraghi discussed how important the remaining two games of the season are, against Napoli and then Atalanta.
“We have two important games, we know. We’ve always played very good matches against Napoli beyond the final result. We always want to win, we’re Inter.”
The 27-year-old, whose loan spell expires with Inter at the end of next month, has made 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1915 minutes.
In that time, he has scored three times and provided five assists, but has struggled to impress coach Antonio Conte, and so will likely return to Florence at the end of the season.
Inter are now second in the league table, only one point ahead of third place Atalanta and four points ahead of fourth place Lazio, who face Hellas Verona tomorrow evening.
