Winning the Europa League would not necessarily mean that Antonio Conte will continue as manager of Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter are back in Europa League action later on today against Getafe and the match comes just days after tensions between the club and Conte have risen and reports over his future as the club have spread like wildfire.

It cannot be excluded that Conte could lead Inter to Europa League glory and then leave although this is not the most likely hypothesis given his big contract.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that the truce struck between Inter president Zhang and Conte could be an appetiser for them going their separate ways but nothing can be taken for granted.

The report also states that Inter have already identified Massimiliano ‘Max’ Allegri as the man they will replace Conte with should he depart the club. There is no guarantee Inter would get him though with Allegri understood to be in high demand.
