The truce reached between Inter and manager Antonio Conte has started well according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

After his most recent public outburst, which came after Inter’s 2-0 win over Atalanta in the 2019/20 Serie A season finale, speculation over Conte’s future in charge of the club has been rife and it is understood that there has been a breakdown in relations.

Despite this, the club and Conte reached a truce to stop the controversy and focus entirely on the Europa League, which Inter return to action in later on today against Getafe at the Arena Auf’Schalke in Gelsenkirchen.

On Monday Conte reaffirmed his commitment to the Nerazzurri cause and in yesterday’s interviews ahead of today’s games, the former Italian national team boss did not feed into the controversy by making any further comments which could add fuel to the current fire.
