Benevento are keen on signing Inter defender Kwadwo Asamoah according to a report from Ghanaian news outlet ghanasoccernet.com.

Benevento are set to return to Serie A in the upcoming season after winning Serie B with ease and are looking to bolster their squad. The Stregoni have already added former Torino captain Kamil Glik to their ranks and have also drawn links with a number of other experienced players.

Asamoah still has a year left to run on his contract with Inter and Benevento will need to pay in the region of €3 million to sign him.

It is also unclear whether Asamoah would be willing to join Filippo Inzaghi’s side but he is eager to leave Inter having slid down the pecking order this season.

Benevento are not the only club who have an interest in signing Asamoah with the report also going on to state that Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce are also interested.
