Barcelona are interested in signing Inter central midfielder Nicolo Barella according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The Blaugrana club made contact with Barella’s representatives and spoke on what a pleasure it would be for Barella to play alongside Messi and the Nou Camp and they also spoke on the kind of salary that they could offer to the Italian national team midfielder.
Barelona have yet to make any sort of formal offer to Inter for Barella and the report goes on to highlight that Inter manager Antonio Conte has a right to veto transfers and given Barella’s importance, that Conte would do exactly that if any offer were to be made.
This season the 23-year-old, who is contracted to Inter until the end of the 2023/24 season, has made 39 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided seven assists for his teammates.
