Inter team manager Gabriele Oriali could leave the Nerazzurri if coach Antonio Conte departs the club next week, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today.

The report details how the 67-year-old Italian, who spent 13 years of his playing career with the Milanese club, is close to Conte and so may depart alongside the 51-year-old Italian should the head coach leave next week. Conte will meet with president Steven Zhang and CEO Beppe Marotta to discuss transfer market objectives and his future, in a meeting that will likely spell out the future of the former Chelsea and Juventus boss.

Oriali was the Inter director of football from 1999 to 2010, the report continues, before spending four years with the Italian national team from 2014 to 2020, where he first worked with Conte at Euro 2016. Last July the 67-year-old returned to Inter but now could be leaving after only 13 months in the job.
