There is a 90% chance that Lionel Messi could stay at Barcelona according to a report from Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports,  which was aired in the early hours of today.

Messi’s father Jorge Messi and agent Jorge Pecourt met with Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and Barcelona board member Javier Bordas yesterday to hold talks over Messi’s future with the Blaugrana club, which was thrown up in the air when Messi sent a fax to Barcelona stating his intention to leave the club.

A final decision on his future will be made soon, possibly even today. Messi could see out the remaining months of his contract with Barcelona before leaving at the end of his contract.

The 33-year-old multi-time world player of the year has spent his entire career with Barcelona to date and he has been linked with potential moves to Manchester City, Inter and Paris Saint-Germain as of late.
