Arturo Vidal’s departure from Barcelona could be announced in the coming hours according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

The Chilean national team player is to terminate his contract with the Blaugrana club, an action that will only move him closer to joining Inter.

Inter and Vidal have a verbal agreement in place over personal terms with a two year contract with an option to a third year worth €6 million a year having been agreed in principle.

Inter have been courting Vidal for some time now and with thanks to him terminating his contract with Barcelona, they will be spared from having to cough up a transfer fee for him.

During the 2019/20 season, 33-year-old Vidal made 43 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totalled just over 2200 minutes, in which he scored eight goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
