Parma sporting director Marcello Carli has confirmed that they are in talks with Inter regarding defender Matteo Darmian.
Reports in the Italian media have stated that Darmian is set for a move to Inter from Parma due to an agreement the clubs made when Darmian joined Parma from Manchester United last year.
Inter are reportedly fully intent on honouring the pact that they made with the Ducali club with some reports stating Inter could pay €5 million to sign the highly versatile Italian, who can play across the entire defensive line.
“There is a conversation with Inter set up since last season. We are talking about him,” Carli explained to the gathered media at the presentation press conference of new manager Fabio Liverani.
During the 2019/20 season, Darmian made a total of 34 appearances across all competitions, in which he mainly played as a right back but also played at left back and right wing-back as well. In just under 2700 minutes on the field, Darmian scored a single goal and provided a single assist.
