Inter linked Arturo Vidal was not called up by Barcelona for their friendly match against Nastic de Terragona this evening, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.
The report details how the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder is set to join the Nerazzurri on a two-year deal, with an option for a third year.
He is currently in talks with the Blaugrana to find an agreement for a contract termination, and decided to give up on his last year of wages in order to more easily reach a deal.
Inter are currently in talks with Barcelona to help facilitate a deal, with constant contact between the two parties.
A sign of the closeness of the deal is the fact that Vidal wasn’t called up by coach Ronald Koeman for the friendly match against Nastic de Terragona this evening.
Vidal is expected to arrive in Milan over the coming days.
