Andrea Ranocchia will meet with Inter to hold talks over his future with the club shortly according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

The experienced Italian central defender has been strongly linked with a move to fellow Serie A club Genoa where there is a three year contract waiting for him.

Ranocchia would happily stay at Inter and continue to fulfil the same role that he has in recent seasons but if the club were to tell him they no longer wanted him then the situation would be different.

In the event that this occurs, Ranocchia would consider a transfer away from Inter, who he has played for since 2011.

The report explains that Ranocchia wishes to meet with Inter management and understand where these rumours of a possible departure have stemmed from and after the meeting with club management he will evaluate what is best for his future.
