Inter central defender Diego Godin is yet to reach an agreement with Cagliari according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.
Everything has been resolved with Inter with regard to a severance pay but things have not went as well with the Sardinia based club.
Godin’s representatives met with Cagliari earlier on today and an agreement is far from being reached between the two parties.
The negotiations have not ended and the parties will meet again soon for further talks in a bid to overcome the obstacles currently in the way.
Cagliari want to add the veteran Uruguayan to their ranks and the report concludes that an extra effort will be required by Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini.
Godin joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 on a free transfer and in his first season with the club he made 36 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored two goals and provided a single assist for his teammates.
