Valentino Lazaro’s agent Max Hagmayr has shared his belief that his client has joined the right club on loan in Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Austrian national team player joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 in a circa €20 million move from Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin.

Lazaro got injured soon after joining which led to him playing catch-up on his teammates and as a result he struggled to cement a place in the Inter first team in the first half of last season.

He was loaned out to Newcastle United for the second half of the campaign but again struggled to cement a place in the team.

The 23-year-old was loaned to Borussia Monchengladbach almost a month ago and he will spend the coming season with them.

“Gladbach was the right club, with the perfect sporting perspective for Valentino,” he remarked in an interview with the online edition of Austrian newspaper Oberösterreichischen Nachrichten.

“I got it done very early because it was clear that with Antonio Conte he would not have a lot of space. It often happens that clubs then offer the player to other clubs.”

Lazaro made 11 appearances across all competitions for Inter last term, in which he tallied two assists.
