Inter central midfielder Stefano Sensi has shared his belief that if all of the Inter squad have ambition they can go on to do great things this season.
Inter’s 2020/21 season is due to get underway in a few days time when they play host to Fiorentina at San Siro in what will be their Serie A season opener, after Inter had what was supposed to be their season opener postponed.
“Inter must always aim high, we made mistakes that we have reviewed. We are working, looking at them and looking at how to improve and we can do great things,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.
“We have to face it match after match, it’s what we do on that pitch that speaks. We don’t have to set goals, but work for ourselves and try to do well every match.
“Ambition is the word we say to each other most often. Each of us thinks it, it helps you improve and not make the same mistakes from last year and if each of us has ambition, we can do great things.”
Sensi joined Inter in a loan with option to buy deal from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo in the Summer of 2019 and Inter took up the option to buy him on a permanent basis.
The Italian national team player made a stellar start to life in the Nerazzurri but from October onwards last season he struggled to remain fit as he picked up injury after injury. He scored three goals and tallied four assists in 19 appearances across all competitions last term.
