Inter manager Antonio Conte will deploy Inter in a 3-4-1-2 system in tomorrow evening’s Serie A season opener at home to Fiorentina according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The former Italian national team boss will hand Inter debuts to transfer window acquisitions Aleksandar Kolarov and Achraf Hakimi who will be deployed at centre back and right wing-back respectively.
Ivan Perisic, who is now back in the club’s plans, will meanwhile be deployed at left wing-back, like he has been during pre-season despite him naturally being a winger.
The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that there will be space for Christian Eriksen in the starting line-up with the Dane set to be deployed in the attacking midfield role in behind strikers Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
Arturo Vidal, who joined earlier this week, will start on the bench.
Probable Inter starting line-up (3-4-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Alessandro Bastoni, Aleksandar Kolarov; Achraf Hakimi, Nicolo Barella, Roberto Gagliardini, Ivan Perisic; Christian Eriksen; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
