New Inter signing Achraf Hakimi will make his debut against Fiorentina this evening, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the 21-year-old Moroccan wing back cost the Milanese club around €40 million plus €5 million in add-ons, being the club’s top signing of the summer transfer window.
The player is considered perfect for coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system, being strong in both the attacking defensive phases of the game.
The 51-year-old Italian coach wanted the player after studying him through videos during his time on loan with Borussia Dortmund.
Hakimi will start against Fiorentina tonight, his first opportunity to shine for the Nerazzurri. The player is contracted to the Milanese club until 2025.
Hakimi made 45 appearances across all competitions last season for the German club, for a total of 3571 minutes. In that time, he scored nine goals and provided 10 assists.
