Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi discussed the Nerazzurri’s exciting 4-3 win over Fiorentina earlier this evening at the San Siro in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV after the game.

“Yes, a great comeback as a team because it was wanted by the the entire squad.

“We knew that against Fiorentina it would be difficult because they played well, they managed to put us in trouble but we had character and we are happy for the win.”

The 25-year-old Italian, who signed permanently from Sassuolo in the summer and is contracted to the club until 2024, touched on his entry as a substitute and how he approached the game.

“It is not easy especially when you are behind, but when you are on the bench you have the opportunity to see what is missing and to understand what to do once you enter.

“I tried to give my best and help the team.”

The former Sassuolo midfielder discussed how he needs consistency this season and how last season he suffered due to a series of serious injuries.

“Surely consistency is what I missed last year, I had a bit of problems. I have been working on myself and prevention, I am still working on it.

“Let’s try not to make the same mistakes like last year, we’ll aim for the maximum and be ambitious because Inter have to be like that and we’ll face match after match well and earn more points.”

Finally, Sensi discussed whether his physical condition is at 100% and if he is ready to play more consistently.

“Being 100% would be the beginning of last season. I feel good, I don’t know if I am 100% or if something is still missing but I work week after week and I think the important thing is to be always ready.”

The 25-year-old Sensi made a substitute appearance against the Florence based club earlier this evening, playing 26 minutes in the San Siro in front of a small group of fans.

The player exploded onto the scene at the start of last season, scoring three goals and providing four assists in his first six games of the season, before suffering a serious injury against Juventus in the seventh game of the season.
