Manchester United have made an enquiry for Chelsea central midfielder N’Golo Kante according to a report from the online edition of British newspaper The Daily Mirror.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a long term admirer of the French national team player and whilst contact over a potential move has been made, any move is highly dependent on the 29-year-old taking a big paycut on his £300,000 a week wages – approximately €330,000.

The report goes on to explain that Kante is reluctant to take a paycut and it also notes the widely reported interest in Kante from Inter with Inter manager Antonio Conte reportedly dreaming of being able to work with Kante again.

The former Leicester City player has been with Chelsea since the Summer of 2016 and still has a few years left to run on his deal with the London based club. Since joining Chelsea he has made 173 appearances, in which he has scored 11 goals and tallied seven assists.
