Christian Eriksen has three months to convince Inter to keep him otherwise a sale in January would become a logical possibility according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Eriksen joined the Nerazzurri back in the January transfer window on a four and a half year contract in a €27 million deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

Since his arrival at Inter Eriksen has struggled and has failed to perform anywhere close to the €50/60 million evaluation he was given when he was linked with a move to Real Madrid prior to joining Inter.

With the European Championship’s due to take place in the Summer of 2021, the report from the Milan based news outlet insists that Eriksen cannot afford to have a poor season.

At the same time Inter cannot afford to record a loss on the former Ajax player. The situation very much has to be handled with care and there is a risk of failure for everyone involved.
