Inter striker Alexis Sanchez believes that he and his teammates must do more even though they have made a perfect start to the 2020/21 season with two wins from two games.

“With Fiorentina it was a very difficult match, we were losing 3-2 and then we recovered. That determination and that desire that we showed must always be there,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

“Two games is too early to think big, we need to improve in every sense including mentally and playing better and defending. I believe we are doing well now, but we can do more.”

Next he spoke on Inter’s most recent match, a resounding 5-2 win away to newly promoted Benevento, who won the Serie B title last term.

“Against Benevento I felt in good shape but I miss playing more. I am a player who feels better when he plays more but I am very happy because I feel fit and I want to play.”

The former Barcelona and Arsenal star then went on to speak about how things are different for him at Inter compared to when he was at Manchester United.

“I like what I do, my job is to play football, I love football. When I was at United I felt I needed a new change of scenery and I think that when I arrived at Inter I found a coach who won’t let you give up. The rest of the group also want to learn to win. He has created a family with everyone here with hard work.”

He proceeded to be asked about Inter’s chances of winning the Serie A title but he was quick to downplay things and reiterated that it is still too early in the season.

“The Scudetto? It is too early to talk about it, now we need to improve. What we need to do is relax and stay focused on winning every game.”

He concluded by addressing the recent arrival of compatriot and national team teammate Arturo Vidal at the club and also sang the praises of Inter’s strike force of Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.

“Vidal? He is a player who understands football a lot and finding such a player is difficult in world football. Lautaro and Lukaku are two powerhouses, one has something that the other doesn’t.”
