Inter have immediately taken precautions after highly rated central defender Alessandro Bastoni tested positive for COVID-19 according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Bastoni, who is currently away with the Italian under 21 national team, is due to be tested once again today but Inter are not waiting around for the test result to take action and have taken the decision to cancel this afternoon’s group training session involving the players not away on international duty.
All of the players will be subject to COVID-19 testing between what remains of today and tomorrow and they will undergo training on an individual basis this afternoon after the group session has been cancelled.
Should Bastoni go on to test positive again when next tested, the report from the Milan based news outlet explains that Inter will follow the protocol and the players will go into fiduciary isolation.
