Inter wing back Matteo Darmian will start against Parma today, facing players that were previously teammates at the start of the season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 30-year-old Italian played the first three league matches of the season with the Emilian club, before officially signing for the Nerazzurri before the closure of the transfer window.

Since then, Darmian has also featured three times for the Milanese club, impressing coach Antonio Conte with his tactical flexibility and work rate.

The former Manchester United full back has joined Inter on loan with an obligation to buy attached, after impressing with Parma last season.

The 30-year-old Italian made 34 appearances across all competitions last season for the Emilian club, for a total of 2685 minutes. In that time, he scored one goal and provided one assist, with his flexibility also important for the Gialloblu.
