Inter striker Lautaro Martinez will sign a contract renewal with Inter soon according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
A renewal for the highly rated 23-year-old Argentine national team forward has been spoken about for several months now in the media and this report claims that a new contract, that will come with a salary adjustment, will be sorted out just shortly.
Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta wishes to hand Lautaro a new deal worth €5 million, plus add-ons, a season in recognition of the status that he now holds in the team which is very much different to the status he had when he joined the club back in 2018 from Racing Club.
This season Lautaro, who is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made eight appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided a single assist for his teammates.
