Inter will meet with Lautaro Martinez’s representatives again before Christmas to hold more talks over a contract renewal according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Talks have already taken place in recent months between the parties over a new deal for the highly rated 23-year-old, who is currently under contract with the club until the end of the 2022/23 season, and further talks are to take place in the not so distant future.
Various reports have stated that Inter are wanting to give Lautaro a salary rise that will see him earn around €5 million plus add-ons a year.
Other reports have stated that Lautaro’s agents would like his salary to be closer in the region of €7 million, to bring his salary in line with those of other top players at Inter like strike partner Romelu Lukaku.
This season Lautaro has made nine appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided two assists for his teammates.
