A report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport has detailed how Inter and AC Milan have submitted new documents regarding their new stadium project to the City Council.

The report details how the two Milan clubs sent the integration of the feasibility study and the new economic-financial plan to the City Council yesterday, showing that they have taken the observations on board.

City Councilor Pierpaolo Maran was positive about the work, saying: “It is positive that, despite the period, many strategic projects of the city continue, as demonstrated by the proposal of the teams.”

The two clubs are hoping that work can begin on the new stadium next year, with the goal being to move out of the historic San Siro into a brand-new stadium owned entirely by the two clubs, allowing for increased revenue and sponsorship opportunities.

The two clubs have paid attention to the successes of Juventus and Atalanta in owning their own stadium, and are working through the famous Italian bureaucracy now to try and begin work on the stadium.
