Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi discussed the Neroverdi’s current position in the league table, the league title and the next game against Inter in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia after the game.

First, he spoke about if the team can look to compete for the league title. They currently sit with 18 points after eight games.

“We have to make sensible and serious evaluations, there are levels at which we cannot aspire reach. We do not want to stop and we like to win, but there are teams better equipped than us, built for certain goals.

“We just have to try to take away as much satisfaction as possible.”

The Neroverdi coach then discussed next weekend’s league clash against Antonio Conte’s Nerazzurri.

“We will prepare for it as always in the best possible way, without taking anything away from the courage that we must have to do to get the result.”

Sassuolo are currently second in the league table, two points behind league leaders AC Milan. The Neroverdi have not lost a game so far this season, only dropping points in draws to Udinese, Torino and Cagliari.

Inter are currently fifth in the league table after eight games, sitting with 15 points, one behind rivals Juventus.

Antonio Conte’s side are currently looking forward to this week’s Champions League clash with Spanish giants Real Madrid, a key game of the season.

The Nerazzurri have not currently won a game yet in the Champions League, and so must look to win against Los Blancos this week if they are looking to progress out of the group stage.
