Spanish side Valencia have joined Paris Saint-Germain in their interest of Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Spanish club are looking for reinforcements to their midfield, to help them escape a possible relegation battle in the second half of the season.

The 28-year-old Dane has been on Valencia’s mind in several occasions in the past, but the club cannot look to purchase him outright, due to their financial difficulties, and so can only look for a loan deal.

The Spanish club also cannot afford to pay his €7.5 million net per season wages, and so would require Inter to contribute to a certain percentage.

PSG are also keen on Eriksen and a possible swap deal with Leandro Paredes cannot be ruled, although rumours in France suggest that the Argentine midfielder is not looking for a return to Serie A.
