Inter coach Antonio Conte is confident of having Arturo Vidal available for Sunday’s Serie A clash at home to Lazio, according to an Italian broadcasters report today.
Sky Sport Italia said the Chilean international was struggling to overcome the knee injury sustained in last Friday’s 2-0 win at Fiorentina and trained apart from his Nerazzurri teammates today.
Vidal’s condition will be assessed upon his return to first-team training but Conte was said to be optimistic about the chances of having the former Bayern Munich man available against the Biancocelesti at San Siro this weekend.
The report went on to explain that the team trained in two different groups today, with those who played having a lighter session than those who did not play in last night’s Coppa Italia semi-final draw away to Juventus.
All of Inter’s management team were also present at training and clarified what happened last night with coach Antonio Conte, with the Nerazzurri boss reportedly subject to numerous insults from Juventus directors at the Allianz Stadium.
