Inter target Denzel Dumfries will be allowed to leave his current club PSV, with the Dutch side reportedly giving the 25-year-old permission to seek a future elsewhere.
This according to Dutch journalist Marco Timmer, who reported on his Twitter account that the Eindhoven-based club have given Dumfries and teammate Donyell Malen the go-ahead to negotiate moves with European clubs.
Dumfries has been identified as a target for the departing Achraf Hakimi by the Nerazzurri, with the Dutchman thought to have a similar profile to the Moroccan, and an ability to fill the right-sided role in Simone Inzaghi’s side.
The player has shone at the Euros with his country, where he scored two goals and impressed despite the Netherlands’ round-of-sixteen exit to the Czech Rebublic.
The Nerazzurri must negotiate terms with PSV before they can sign Dumfries, with financial constraints at the club a potential stumbling block to a deal, but the player is now reportedly up for sale should they wish to step up their pursuit.
