Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata would like to move to Inter, and has made his intentions clear to his current club.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reports on his homepage that the Colombian will not force a move from the Bergamo-based club but that he wants to make the switch.

Zapata remains Inter’s top option as they search for a centre-forward to take the place of Romelu Lukaku following the Belgian’s departure, and they are ready to offer Atalanta €30 million plus add-ons for him.

La Dei would like to keep the 30-year-old, who is still important to their plans, but would also want to respect his wishes.

Zapata’s club will not sell him until they have found a replacement, and they are still actively probing the possibilities for taking over from the Colombian.

The Nerazzurri have other targets in mind should Atalanta not budge on Zapata, but for now he is the player they would most like to bring in.
