Lazio have come down on their asking price for attacker Joaquin Correa, though Inter still have a way to go before they can come to an agreement for the player.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Biancocelesti have come down to €35 million in their asking price from €40 million, while the Nerazzurri have put forward a loan and purchase obligation worth €30 million.

The Nerazzurri are moving swiftly in their pursuit of one more attacker before the transfer window shuts and would like to have a deal wrapped up in the next 72 hours.

Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram has fallen off the club’s radar with a knee injury suffered this weekend meaning that he is now at least 45 days from a return to the pitch, and Correa is firmly in pole position.

The Biancocelesti have reduced their valuation and the clubs are now closer to an agreement on a move for the Argentine, but some work will still have to be done before they can come together.
