Inter are still considering moving for Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne during the summer transfer window, but would only do so should they miss out on Lazio’s Joaquin Correa.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that Insigne is the Nerazzurri’s Plan B option should their pursuit of the Biancocelesti forward fail.

Insigne is out of contract at the Partenopei next summer and talks over a renewal have broken down, and Inter are among the clubs following his situation.

The Nerazzurri have already put forward an offer worth €15 million for the 30-year-old, but Napoli quickly rejected it.

Insigne is still on Inter’s radar and the club could still move for him even before the summer transfer window closes.

However, for now the club are focusing on their pursuit of Correa who is their first choice in the search for one more attacking arrival before the window shuts, and Insigne is their backup option.
