Inter striker Alexis Sanchez is sad to be missing the international break with Chile, as he is still recovering from a persistent calf injury which ruled him out of much of the summer and also caused him to miss the Nerazzurri’s opening two Serie A matches.

The 32-year-old wishes that he could be with his teammates contributing to their efforts to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, but he is still proud to send them a message of support on his Instagram account, accompanied by a picture of the team celebrating.

His message reads: “You can’t imagine how sad I am not to be with you… but I know that you will all do your best (as always), and whatever happens I’m proud of you. Vamos Chile Carajo”
