Inter are likely to start with the pairing of Matteo Darmian and Federico Dimarco in wide areas in their Serie A match against Lazio on Saturday.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the pair are likely to be selected as manager Simone Inzaghi looks to find the right balance to his squad amid a difficult period.
Inzaghi will have to wait some time to have his complete squad available to him, with the South American players in particular only arriving at the eleventh hour.
Argentines Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa are set to be in Rome for the clash with the Biancocelesti on Friday night, while the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal will only return from international duty with Chile on Saturday, the day of the match.
The coach could prioritize the players who are the freshest in wide areas, with Darmian having remained in training with the Nerazzurri and Dimarco having seen no action while with the Italian national team.
