Inter have made Torino defender Bremer their primary target to replace Stefan de Vrij should the Dutchman be sold and will quickly move for him should that time come.
This according to Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri directors have already initiated contacts over a move, but that how they proceed will depend on de Vrij’s situation.
De Vrij’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and the club have yet to come close to an agreement on an extension.
The club are planning to hold talks on a new contract for de Vrij in January or February, but should it become clear that no agreement can be found on a new deal then they will not hesitate to sell him.
Should an offer worth €20 million come in for de Vrij then Inter could sell him next summer, with Antonio Conte’s Spurs one likely team to seriously consider moving for him.
Should de Vrij be on his way, Inter have already begun work on signing Bremer to replace him.
CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio have both contacted Torino President Urbano Cairo, in addition to the Nerazzurri being in constant contact with the entourage of Bremer.
The Granata currently value the Brazilian at €25 million, and the Nerazzurri could work to quickly work to get a deal for his signature over the line should de Vrij be on his way.
