Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal is set to start in place of Hakan Calhanoglu in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Lazio tomorrow.
This according to to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 34-year-old is favourite over Roberto Gagliardini to fill in for the Turkish midfielder who is suspended.
Calhanoglu will serve his one-match suspension following an accumulation of yellow cards tomorrow, rather than against Bologna due to that match having been postponed.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have a decision to make as to which player starts in place of the 27-year-old, but it currently looks as though Vidal will be handed his second start of the campaign in Serie A after also starting against the Granata in place of the suspended Nicolo Barella.
The Chilean had also made an impact off the bench in several matches earlier in the season, and started against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.
