Inter defender Stefan de Vrij and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu have been criticised for their performances against Juventus on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As was reported by Tuttosport whilst writing the player ratings after the Supercoppa Italiana final, the only two players who received five out of 10 were Stefan de Vrij and Hakan Calhanoglu.

The Dutchman was singled out for his lack of control in the penalty area when Weston McKennie headed Juventus into the lead.

Hakan Calhanoglu did not make any specific mistakes, he just failed to influence the match at all from the midfield in the way he has done in recent weeks for the Nerazzurri.

Alexis Sanchez was given a high rating of 7.5 out of 10 after he came onto the pitch to score the winning goal with the final kick of the game at the end of the extra time period.
