Newly-arrived Inter striker Felipe Caicedo could already make his debut for the club in the Milan derby next weekend.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 33-year-old could play against the Rossoneri, possibly off the bench.
The Nerazzurri officially completed the signing of Caicedo on loan from Genoa yesterday, but they aren’t wasting any time in getting him integrated into the squad and ready for action.
The Ecuadorian has been brought in to strengthen the attack with Joaquin Correa currently out injured, while Lautaro Martinez may not be in the best condition after he returns from international duty.
Accordingly, the Nerazzurri’s aim is to have Caicedo ready to make an instant impact, whether from the start or off the bench.
The Ecuadorian was signed because he is experienced and has a positive relationship with Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi, and he could already be trusted in their first match back from the international break, a hugely significant derby clash.
