Inter did not like Ivan Perisic’s outburst after the Coppa Italia final but they are still keen to keep him at the club, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, there is a chance that Ivan Perisic’s comments at the end of the Coppa Italia final have soured his relationship with the directors in charge of negotiating a new deal with him.

He implied that players who the club actually value do not have to wait until the last minute to have an acceptable contract offer made.

Inter do not feel that they have waited until the last minute but they certainly have not met the €6 million salary that the Croatian is asking for.

€4.5 million, as well as bonuses, is what the Nerazzurri have offered so far but they are confident that a middle ground can be found as the player would like to stay at Inter.
