Yuto Nagatomo named best Asian footballer

The Asian Football Federation, AFC, have named Inter’s Japanese full-back Yuto Nagatomo as 2013 best Asian footballer who plays in a non-Asian league.

Nagatomo was awarded the prestigious prize in Kuala Lumpur by the AFC who stated that: “Thanks to he excellent performances in the Serie A as well as with the Japanese national team in the Confederations Cup as well as in the World Cup Qualifiers, Nagatomo wins this award ahead of his fellow countryman Honda and the Korean Son Heung-Min.”
