Forward Alexis Sanchez has not been included in Inter’s squad for today’s friendly match against Lens as a departure is expected for him this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Marseille are the latest club to show serious interest in signing the Chilean as the Nerazzurri seek to offload him.

Sanchez is not in Inter’s plans for next season and they have spent much of the summer searching for a new club for him, but as of yet no new destination has been found.

Marseille had been among the 33-year-old’s suitors with departed coach Jorge Sampaoli having been keen, but the French side could still reignite their pursuit as Sampaoli’s replacement Igor Tudor is also a fan.

Tudor has asked Marseille to try and sign Sanchez, although getting things worked out in a way that makes the player happy between severance pay from Inter and wages from the French club could be tricky given that wages that he stands to earn on the final year of his Inter contract.
